Easy and Healthy Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

Japanese teriyaki is a cooking method in which food is coated with a sweet sauce based on soy sauce and grilled, and goes well with fish and chicken dishes. In the United States, “Teriyaki” refers to a “dish” seasoned with teriyaki sauce, which is different from Japanese teriyaki.

Here is a healthy, high-protein Teriyaki Chicken recipe using skinless chicken.

Ingredients (2 servings)

skinless chicken thigh 300g
wheat flour 2tsp
vegetable oil 1tsp

(A)
1tbsp soy sauce
2tsp sugar
2tbsp cooking sake
2tsp mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)

How to cook

  1. Mix (A) seasonings together.
  2. Cut skinned chicken into appropriate size.
  3. Sprinkle flour on both sides.
  4. Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook ③.
  5. When browned, turn over and cook over low heat. When chicken is cooked through, add A and cook over medium heat until shiny.
  6. Once the sauce has thickened, put it on a plate and it’s done.
